Leighton House
Nestling between the very grandest streets of Kensington and on the very border of Holland Park, is the hidden gem that is Leighton House. This studio-house of the leading Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830-1896) was a constant preoccupation for the artist, absorbing large amounts of his time, money and effort. The house combined spaces for living, working and entertaining and displays much of Leighton’s collection. Leighton House came to embody the idea of how a great artist should live and is an absolute joy in which to wander and reflect…. the cakes are nice too.
